JPEG + 3D Map

This format represents a JPEG-image of the first frame and a photoscript as one image. If fits for further usage in print.

Animated GIF

One of the simplest and most popular formats with animation is an animated GIF file. In that case, all 3D photos are saved in one file, which can be easily sent via e-mail, given to friends or posted on websites.  The disadvantage is, that the object can’t be stopped during rotation.

p3d

In this format nearly all images from the camera, including RAW-files, are saved without losing quality. P3d files can be opened any time in Photo3D Studio software for processing. Further such files can be saved in any other format.

p3dl

The quality of files, saved in this format, is good enough for view on PC screen. P3dl files can be opened any time in Photo3D Studio software for processing. Further such files can be saved in any other format. P3dl requires much less storage space, than p3d. If you photo shoot only for web, than this format is enough for you to back up your 3D animations.

Folder

The quality of 3D photoscript, saved in folder in this format, is good enough for web and for view on PC screen. Files can be processed by any other software, and then imported to the Photo3D Studio software again for creation of 3D animation. Such files can be also used to create a 3D animation in any other software.

Full uncompressed set of files in folder

3D image photoscript is saved in folder in this format without losing quality, just as it was received from the camera, including RAW-files. Files can be processed by any other software (for example, Adobe Lightroom), and then imported to the Photo3D Studio software again for creation of 3D animation. Such files can be also used to create a 3D animation in any other software.

HTML5 (with JavaScript player)

This format allows to integrate 3D photography with website. It doesn’t require an installed Flash-player on user’s PC. Fotomekhanika JavaScript-player has an open code, that’s why you can modify it according to your preferences. The player appearance can be easily adjusted via CSS-files.

For details about 3D photo integration, see special operation manual. If you don’t have this manual,. please contact Fotomekhanika technical support services team.

HTML + SWF (Flash)

This format also allows to integrate 3D photography with website. To view 3D animations, a Flash-player is needed. Image photoscript is saved separately. There is no full Flash-file, which can be used solo.

For details about 3D photo integration, see special operation manual.

Add Logo / watermark

To load a logo press «Advanced» in Saving setting (see Pic. 15). Download the image in png format, select logo placing, adjust a required logo opacity level (Pic. 16).

To save the file with logo the box «Watermarks» has to be checked in the file settings (see. Рic. 15).

Saving separate frames

You can adjust automatic saving of frames, by numbers. To do so, insert the necessary numbers in the field Save separate frames (see Pic. 15), separated by commas. Frame number is shown in the image view field.

Besides that, you can choose the required frame and press «JPEG» button. The software will save the frame to the chosen folder.

Saving in folder on default

The software allows to save photos in a semi-automatic mode. Photos are saved in the folder, named in the field «Default directory» (Pic. 15). To save files in this folder you just have to click «Save». And the software will save the photo in the chosen format, by a unique number.

If you click «As» near to the «Save» key, the software allows you to choose the folder, file name and format.

Saving settings

When you are saving files, there are several parameters you can change (the parameter set depends on format):

  • File resolution can be chosen in the dropdown list «Resolution» (Pic. 15). In some cases, a user-defined resolution can be chosen. To do so, choose the word «Custom» in the list. P3d and «Full uncompressed set of files in folder» formats always save files in maximal resolution, that’s why there is no resolution choice available.
  • JPEG compression quality is operated via «Quality» slider.
  • Image format can be chosen in the dropdown list «Format».

Automatic saving of all 3D photos

It’s sometimes important to save all photos, not to lose necessary frames. Photo3D Studio software offers two options of automatic saving:

First alternative is to save in p3d format (see File formats). In this format nearly all images from the camera, including RAW-files, are saved without losing quality. But please note following: a 3D photo contains a big number of frames. That’s why one p3d file with RAW-images in big resolution can possibly fill more than 1 Gb storage space on hard disk. To save files in p3d format, check the box «Auto save p3d» (Рic. 15).

Second alternative is to auto save in format, which is chosen in the format list in «Saving» section. To save files in the chosen format, check the box «Auto save» (Рic. 15).
